Welcome
to NCCOAST's Waterfront!
Whether it’s cruising
along the Intracoastal Waterway in a brand new Hatteras, surfcasting
on a perfect sunny day, kayaking around Shackleford Banks, diving to
a scuttled shipwreck, lying on a beach or drinking the perfect
margarita while eating the world’s best seafood…the NC Coast
Waterfront isn't just a lifestyle…it’s an obsession.
Uniquely placed to
cover waterways and shorelines from Pamlico County to Pender County
and all the beautiful coastal places in between,
NCCOAST Waterfront Magazine
offers a comprehensive look at everything to do with living on the
coast…from the latest in boating equipment to what fish are running, to the best in
seafood restaurants and coastal places to visit and live.
Eastern North
Carolina is known for its beautiful ocean beaches, fabulous fishing
and navigable inland waters. In Carteret County alone, of its 1,063
square miles of area, 531 miles are water. And the water-related
events, festivals and fishing tournaments abound throughout the
region. The NC Coast's population swells from April to October as
hundreds of thousands of tourists flock to the central coastal
areas. But year round, thousands of boaters are on the water. Others
are sport, surf, pier, or commercial fishing or sailing. There are
few days that a dedicated outdoor enthusiast stays ashore. Hundreds
more are surfing, windsurfing, jet skiing, diving, kayaking or
taking advantage of the coast in a multitude of ways - even if it's
just relaxing.
